  1. When I look at your art, I see a lifetime of observation, craft, patience, vision, people, and the end products are lovely distillations of that *see-ing*. Thanks so much for that complex beauty. Great interview. KattO

  2. Robyn, thank you for this interview and the tour of your art through the photographs. One day, I see a book about you and your work! Your work is very moving, authentic and like a visual prayer. I am moved by the spirit of each piece. Your work helps me breathe deeper…

  4. I love this interview; and to see all your work! Each is so unique, like a living entity. They are like story boards... this idea is so beautiful to me too, "Sometimes sacred objects are viewed only by those who have proper rank and knowledge to do so."

And yet, you are bringing forth that sense of the sacred, of the portals and the doors, the box and its smallest (often throw away objects) which still honored for their soulfullness are value, and they resonate with the power to open... to engage us in meditaion, wonder, mystical enjoinment to our world again.

Have you ever thought of framing your art sketches with each art object? A sculptor i know makes sketches and frames them, kind of like Christo... they are part of his imagination's expression of making and waking life.

    anyway, thanks... again.

  14. Robyn, Vineeta did a great job of interviewing you. I feel like I've gotten a better idea of why you do what you do. The collections have always been my favorite things you carve. I could study them for hours and more than once I've dreamed of ordering a Robyn original from you. I can imagine myself inspecting each thing, rubbing it to memorize the texture, and placing it in a spot that where I can see it everyday.

  15. Hi Robyn, What fun!! That was a great glimpse into your background, process and inspiration as an artist and seeker. I really enjoyed seeing so much of your work there all together accompanied by your thoughts, provoked by some good questions. Thanks for sharing them with us!! I have one questions - how are your hands holding up? Carving is so labor intensive - I've often wondered how you do it!!I deeply admire your work, it's truly amazing. Karin

  22. It doesn't surprise me that your show sold out, or that you've been carving from such a young age. Seeing all your pieces together makes it obvious how hard it would be to choose one. Thank goodness you're so prolific! Someday I'd love to start a collection
