ART PROPELLED REINVENTED

Story Door and Niche carving by Robyn Gordon. Website here

THANK YOU to all my faithful followers who have supported me here over the years and for all the inquiring emails and messages wondering if all is well. All is well! Life has got busier however and I've tried to find an easier way to blog that doesn't take up quite so much of time. For that reason,  I've decided to reinvent Art Propelled on Face Book (here). I will post my art compilations as well as my own work there if you are interested.  Some people don't like Face Book but for the time being it is all I can manage. I do hope I will meet up with you there because I do miss you all.

Art Compilation including work by Alexey Terenin, Paul Balmer, Cathy Brennon, Deborah Bell and Annie Coe

  1. Ah, me! Facebook has been the death of blogs and many of my old friends have joined the Dark Side. I do not subscribe, preferring the "spaciousness" of a blog.
But, as you say Robyn, folks just don't seem to have the time these days. I have the luxury of being retired.

    1. I still love reading the old type blog, Avus.... when I have the time. One of the reasons I stopped was the problem I was having uploading photos (for over 6 months). I decided to give it a try today and guess what? The problem has disappeared...so i just might continue once I am less busy.

  2. And I have missed you too - your wonderful art work. (love the one at the top of this post) I don't 'do' Facebook but shall try and negotiate it now so that I can keep looking at your wonderful work.

    1. I'm touched that you would try and negotiate Facebook to see my work. Thanks Weaver.I might find it impersonal and come back now that my uploading problem has cleared.

  7. I'm relieved, as the others, that you are well! I am also FB adverse. I will welcome any attempt you make at staying with the blog format. I love what Avus said about enjoying the 'spaciousness' of a blog. And I've always felt uplifted with every one of your posts. Thank you again for keeping us informed.

    1. Thank you so much Annie.Yes it is great to find so many old friends on FB. There are a few things that make it difficult on Blogger. I have just discovered a new one. Friends on Wordpress can not leave comments here.

  14. Hi R - as you know I always enjoy your creations and your sharing - so checking out the Facebook version will continue to inspire. We all have finite time and have to work out how best to use it. Go well, create well and share well. B

  15. This is one of those comments from a wordpress blogger that didn't get through. It came via email.

. has left a new comment on your post "ART PROPELLED REINVENTED":

Robyn - thank you for this update. I want to add my tuppence-worth for those who are FB averse.
I refused to go near FB for years. It wasn't until I discovered that it was possible to use it (configure it) in ways that allowed sharing of the topics important to me (art and awakening) - and realised many folk I respected highly were using it that way, that I changed my mind. It was a liberating change!
As you know I'm a WordPress blogger, and an unashamed WP devotee. I don't know why Blogger and WP can't find an easier way to 'speak' across the platforms - it's always such a mission to try to leave a comment on blogspot... let's see how this one travels.
I have found that there are two distinct 'audiences' for my blogs - those who 'follow' them and don't go near FB, and those who follow them via the links I post on FB.
Your posts on FB are a source of great nourishment and inspiration to me - and many others. I love the way you post the images separately with links to the artists' websites. To me, you are the Maria Popova of the art world!
    Gratitude!

  19. Robyn, I just got an announcement from the Hamill Gallery, and that reminded me that I had not visited your blog in some time; so I hopped over to see what is new. Just wanted to say that "change is good!", (dare I say) especially in the Arts. Hats off to you for making a conscious decision about what works best for YOU -- and from the looks of your recent work, all is definitely well in your world. Sending you thanks and support, Lynne P
